The Estonian Research Council is compiling an overview on the research regarding COVID-19 and the state of emergency

The Estonian Research Council is gathering information about the research that has already been conducted or is currently being carried out on COVID-19 and on the state of emergency as well as on the possible new research topics of strategic importance. Special forms have been compiled in order to do that.

The information regarding the relevant research topics will be gathered from the ministries and government bodies. The information regarding proposals for research as well as the research that has already been conducted will be gathered from researchers and R&D institutions.

The information, which will be gathered by 14 April, will provide a broad picture of the most relevant research topics at national level and of the willingness of the researchers and R&D institutions to explore these topics, as well as of ongoing research and the research that has already been carried out. The Council together with the Ministry of Education and Research will thereafter seek funding opportunities for launching the relevant studies.
