{"id":103474,"date":"2025-08-11T09:27:14","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T06:27:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/etag2025.etag.ee\/estonian-research-council\/juhtimine\/"},"modified":"2026-07-14T09:40:06","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T06:40:06","slug":"management","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/estonian-research-council\/management\/","title":{"rendered":"Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"classic-editor\">\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The Estonian Research Council operates in accordance with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.riigiteataja.ee\/en\/eli\/516102025001\/consolide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Organisation of Research and Development and Innovation Act<\/a> and, in its operations, follows its <a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/estonian-research-council\/management\/documents\/statutes\/\">Statutes<\/a>, national research and development strategies, and other <a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/estonian-research-council\/management\/documents\/\">foundational documents<\/a>.<br><br>ETAG\u2019s strategic governance and oversight are carried out by a Council appointed by the Minister of Education and Research. Strategic management and supervision are carried out by the <a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/estonian-research-council\/management\/board-of-estonian-research-council\/\">Board of the Estonian Research Council<\/a>, while the Management Board leads ETAG\u2019s operations in accordance with the <a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ETAG-arengukava-2027_eng.pdf\">Estonian Research Council Development Plan 2021\u20132027<\/a>. The core activities are implemented by four departments, supported by an administrative unit responsible for the organisation\u2019s support functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">Governance Structure of ETAG<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full wp-el\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"937\" height=\"381\" src=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Struktuur_koduleht_eng.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-123558\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">An independent <a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/estonian-research-council\/management\/hindamisnoukogu\/\">Evaluation Committee<\/a> of distinguished researchers oversees the assessment of Estonia\u2019s research and development quality.
