We achieve this by amplifying the dialogue between the scientific community and society, and by increasing the visibility of science and technology among young people through media.

We are organizing seminars for research project coordinators to develop technological literacy and creativity; hosting an annual student science festival to showcase research projects and encourage experience-sharing among students and educators; conducting spring and summer schools for career advisers, science communication enthusiasts, and teachers; and holding science communication conferences and workshops.

To increase the popularity of science, research, technology, and engineering among young people and society at large, to raise the quality of education in these fields, and to make related career paths more attractive, the Estonian Research Council coordinates various activities, engages stakeholders through different initiatives, and contributes to promoting school–company cooperation.

As media plays an important role in science communication, we support the development of research journalism and educational entertainment.
