{"id":103809,"date":"2025-06-20T11:34:28","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T08:34:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/etag2025.etag.ee\/funding\/mobiilsustoetused\/"},"modified":"2026-03-30T16:01:20","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T13:01:20","slug":"mobility-funding","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/funding\/mobility-funding\/","title":{"rendered":"Mobility Funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"classic-editor\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">Researcher mobility support enables both Estonian and foreign researchers to carry out research in a new research environment to exchange experience, expand their co-operation networks and obtain new skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\"><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/funding\/mobility-funding\/mobility-support\/\">Mobility Support<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">Support is provided to Estonian research and development institutions in recruiting researchers outside Estonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\"><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/funding\/research-funding\/personal-research-funding\/\">Postdoctoral research grant<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The aim is to support the launch of research career for researchers with doctoral degree obtained from Estonian university to continue their independent research in foreign R&amp;D institutions or among highly qualified research groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\"><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/funding\/mobility-funding\/incoming-postdoctoral-grant\/\">Incoming postdoctoral grant<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">Support is provided for researchers who have earned their doctoral degrees abroad in coming to Estonia for postdoctoral research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\"><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/funding\/mobility-funding\/returning-researcher-grant\/\">Returning researcher grant<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No further application rounds will be organised. Instead, an Mobility Support is available.<\/strong> Support is provided for researchers (Estonian citizens or current\/former Estonian residents) who have been working outside Estonia and would like to return to Estonia. &nbsp;The prerequisites are postdoctoral fellowship or an equivalent level of research completed abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">Mobility funding from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/cooperation\/horizon-europe\/\">Horizon Europe<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/mariecurieactions\/about-marie-sklodowska-curie-actions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;focus on the development of researchers\u2019 careers, not only through mobility but also by supporting excellent research and strong intersectoral cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">International cooperation programmes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">International cooperation programmes provide also various options for funding researcher mobility:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list wp-el\">\n<li><strong>postdoctoral fellowship<\/strong>&nbsp;is provided by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/cooperation\/bilateral-cooperation\/funding-schemes-for-estonia-japanese-collaboration\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/cooperation\/bilateral-cooperation\/funding-schemes-for-estonia-japanese-collaboration\/\">Japanese Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS)<\/a>&nbsp;for research in&nbsp;<strong>Japan<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/cooperation\/bilateral-cooperation\/parrot-french-estonian-science-and-technology-cooperation-programme\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/cooperation\/bilateral-cooperation\/parrot-french-estonian-science-and-technology-cooperation-programme\/\">French-Estonian PARROT programme<\/a>&nbsp;provides&nbsp;<strong>travel grants<\/strong>&nbsp;for science and technology cooperation between&nbsp;<strong>French and Estonian<\/strong>&nbsp;researchers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/cooperation\/bilateral-cooperation\/taiwan-estonia-cooperation-programme\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/cooperation\/bilateral-cooperation\/taiwan-estonia-cooperation-programme\/\">Taiwan-Estonia cooperation programme<\/a>&nbsp;provides&nbsp;<strong>travel grants<\/strong>&nbsp;fot traveling to&nbsp;<strong>Taiwanese<\/strong>&nbsp;research institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">Mobilitas 3.0&nbsp;support schemes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list wp-el\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/funding\/mobility-funding\/supporting-the-erc-applications\/\">Supporting ERC applications<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/funding\/mobility-funding\/incoming-postdoctoral-grant\/\">Incoming postdoctoral grant<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support for participation in international research, development and innovation initiatives.
