{"id":104663,"date":"2025-08-11T10:02:57","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T07:02:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/etag2025.etag.ee\/tunnustuskonkursid\/"},"modified":"2026-03-02T16:14:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T14:14:06","slug":"contests-calls","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/contests-and-events\/contests-calls\/","title":{"rendered":"Popularisation and Recognition Competitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"classic-editor\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The Research Council organises various competitions to recognise Estonia\u2019s leading promoters of science and technology, with the aim of giving science-related topics greater visibility and broader societal impact, and of ensuring a strong next generation of Estonian researchers and teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, competitive opportunities are offered to young people to encourage them to approach topics of interest in a scientific manner and to provide insight into the world of research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">Recognition Competitions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list wp-el\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/contests-and-events\/contests-calls\/national-contest-of-young-scientists\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"104670\">The National Contest of Young Scientists<\/a> is open to basic school and upper secondary school students. The submission deadline is 20 February. The second round of the competition will take place as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/science-communication\/science-education\/student-researchers-festival\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"104649\">Students\u2019 Science Festival<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The deadline for submitting candidates for the <a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/contests-and-events\/contests-calls\/estonian-science-communication-award\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"104676\">Estonian Science Communication Award<\/a> is 15 September.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/contests-and-events\/contests-calls\/national-contest-for-university-students\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"104684\">The National Contest for University Students<\/a> accepts submissions at the level of professional higher education, Bachelor\u2019s, Master\u2019s and Doctoral studies. The submission deadline is 15 September.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/contests-and-events\/contests-calls\/national-contest-of-young-inventors\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"104672\">The National Contest of Young Inventors<\/a> is open to pre-school children and students of all age groups, including those in vocational secondary education. The submission deadline is 15 October 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">Activity Grants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">Under the <a href=\"https:\/\/etag.ee\/en\/contests-and-events\/contests-calls\/open-call-for-science-communication-projects\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"104681\">Open Call for Science Popularisation Projects<\/a>, funding is available to anyone active in, or wishing to initiate, a project in the field of science popularisation.
