The open seminar/workshop will take place on 17 September in Tartu Dorpat Conference center and 18 September in Tallinn Olümpia Conference center.
The seminar is meant for researchers at all stages of their careers, young or experienced, and academics and administrators are all invited to participate at the seminar.
Participants are introduced to the main rules of good scientific practice according to international norms and rules both in Estonia and elsewhere. What is the difference between good scientific practice, sloppy science and misconduct? We will discuss the topics of conflict of interest, data protection, authorship, publication, mentoring and solving conflict situations.
During the second part of the seminar we will learn to recognize misconduct, how to act and also what are the outcomes (results) of not reacting to these kinds of situations.
