The Estonian RTD Liaison Office (ELO) in Brussels and Estonian Research Council have the pleasure to invite you to our Anniversary Reception
“Cross-border e-services – a building block for the digital ERA”
Thursday 10 April 2014
16:30-19:00
Permanent Representation of Estonia to the EU
Rue Guimard 11/13
1000, Brussels
In December 2013, Estonia and Finland concluded the world’s first known digitally signed intergovernmental agreement focusing on common development and shared use of e-services between the two neighbours. This important milestone enables to offer a host of bilateral cross-border e-services for the governmental sector and social services, and is also paving the way for seamless access to online research services and e-infrastructures – the Digital European Research Area.
Please join us for a reception, with reflections on the current and future developments in cross-border e-services by Mr Siim Sikkut, National ICT Policy Adviser, Government Office of Estonia, and the opportunities for a digital European Research Area (speaker to be confirmed)
The presentations will be followed by opportunities for networking with snacks and drinks.
