The Estonian Research Council fullfills various tasks regarding research infrastructures.
The Estonian Research Council compiles and updates every 3-4 years the Estonian Research Infrastructures Roadmap. It contains a list of new nationally important research infrastructure units or those in need of modenisation. The roadmap includes Estonian and international research infrastructure.
Estonia is a member of several international research infrastructures, including ESFRI roadmap objects and others. Estonia’s participation in international research infrastructures is described in more detail here.
The Estonian Research Council also aims to help scientists in cooperating with these international research infrastructures, for example ESA (European Space Agency) and CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research). In case of questions or issues, researchers are encouraged to contact the Estonian Research Council.
