Science Europe is an association of European Research Funding Organisations (RFO) and Research Performing Organisations (RPO). Its mission is to promote the collective interests of the Research Funding and Research Performing Organisations of Europe and to strengthen the European Research Area (ERA).
Science Europe´s 36 member organisations from 27 European countries are highly recognised nationally and internationally. It´s members work with the Science Europe Office to leverage their collective expertise to shape the best possible conditions and policies for scientific research.
The Science Europe Office works closely with all members on a daily basis through mechanisms such as its Working Groups, Task Forces, and Policy Networks and through the association’s primary bodies, the Governing Board and the General Assembly.
Science Europe was founded in 2011 and is established as an International Non-profit Organisation under Belgian law. Science Europe is fully funded by its members. Estonian Research Council is one of the founding members of Science Europe. Anu Noorma, the Head of Estonian Research Council represents ETAG at the General Assembly.
