For the better organisation of conferences, training courses, information days, and other such events, the participants must generally register themselves beforehand. For that purpose, the Estonian Research Council collects the names and contact data of the persons. The basis for the collection is legitimate interest and the performance of mutual obligations. As a rule, the data is preserved until the end of the event. If the event is related to the implementation of programmes, the data is stored pursuant to the requirements of the programme.
Registration letters and, if necessary, contact data used for sending the materials of the event and requesting feedback are stored about the people who participated in the event and treated as accounting records. More specific storage terms are available in the list of documents as approved by the Estonian Research Council’s directive.
