ETAG at sTARTUp Day 2022

Come and find us at various events! We support the young business enthusiasts, discover new ways for food valorisation, build a cooperation platform for entrepreneurs and researchers, organise debates and show you the newest accomplishments of Estonian researchers at the demo area!

11.35-12.35 Seminar: Who’s Afraid of the Scientist? (inglise keeles)

Let’s talk about cooperation between researchers and entrepreneurs from the researchers’ point of view.
Talking to you openly will be Jekaterina Mazina-Šinkar and Karl Kullamaa, researchers from top Estonian universities, Taltech and Tartu University. They will be sharing their experience about working together with companies to take their product to the next level. Keywords: cooperation, intellectual property, patent, lessons learned.

Leading the discussion will be Indrek Tulp, head of the resource valorisation science programme at Estonian Research Council

13. 00 and 14.00 Speeddating with Scientists!* (in English)

Startups will have a chance to meet face to face with researchers and see if they have mutual interests. In the event, everyone will have 1:1 discussions to introduce their problems and field of study to test their ideas against new points of view and see, if there is a chance for cooperation in the future.
Keywords of participating researchers: big data, data analytics, artificial intelligence, internet of things, machine learning, robotics, information and communication technology, intellectual property

12.30-13.30 Seminar “Research to the Rescue!” (in English) 

Want to get to know more about how you can improve your business with the help of science? Do you have an idea, but don’t know how to reach the right scientist? Do you have a GREAT idea, but lack funding for research or innovation?
Estonian Research Council, Enterprise Estonia and ADAPTER are here to take you through the process of upgrading your business idea with the help of Estonian science.
Entrepeneurs from different fields of life will come and share their experience of cooperating with researchers. This is a hands-on experience, where all questions are valid!

Sharing their knowledge will be: Relika Alliksaar Williams, Development Cooperation Expert in Enterprise Estonia,  Viktor Muuli, the manager of Smart Specialisation in Estonian Research Council, Maris Koka, Specialist for entrepeneurial relations, Tartu Ülikool/ADAPTER, Martin Järvekülg, Click and Grow, Head of R&D, Ailet Õis-Saar, CEO of SUTU OÜ tegevjuht, Indrek Palu, CEO of Sambert OÜ.
