ETAG is at sTARTUp Day 2023

March 15 - March 17

We’re glad to welcome you at sTARTUp Day 2023, the biggest startup-event in the Baltic States.  Join us in our booth at the demo area to discuss how we can support you, the entrepreneur, so you could make our economy  smarter and make a positive impact on the society as a whole.

Find out how to hire a researcher with the help of state funding, how entrepreneurs and R&D facilities could cooperate more efficiently in resource valorisation and how the businesses could benefit from the EU framework programme “European Horizon”!

Should you get thirsty for more knowledge, we’ll gladly serve you a glass of science – Estonian-made, pineapple-flavoured whey drink (with added bacteria that’ll boost your health). You also have a chance to win your own Click&Grow smart garden (which is also an excellent example of the successful cooperation between researchers and entrepreneurs)!

On 17 March, we also invite you to participate in two engaging seminars:

13.00-13.45 Seminar Researcher as a deep tech founder“ (in English, at Seminar Room 2)

Founders of deep-tech businesses who have made a career in science discuss and give advice from their own experience. What leads to the idea of starting your own business? How to assemble a team? What is the most challenging thing when starting? How to find funding and partners?

Experience will be shared by: Petri-Jaan Lahtvee (Professor in Taltech and co-CEO of a biotech startup ÄIO) and Andi Hektor (Senior researcher in KBFI and Chair of the Board, GScan)

Discussion is moderated by Indrek Tulp (Head of the Field of Targeted Funding, Estonian Research Council)

14.00-14.45 Seminar Research to the Rescue“ (in English, at Seminar Room 2)

Representatives of deep-tech companies will share their experiences on how you can improve your business with the help of researchers. You´ll get to know how to reach the proper scientist with your great idea, how to get funding for research or innovation activities, and much more.

Experience will be shared by: Silver Lätt (Enterprise Architect, Milrem Robotics) and Martin Järvekülg (Head of Research and Development, Click & Grow)

Discussion is moderated by Viktor Muuli (Manager of Smart Specialisation, Estonian Research Council)
