Networking seminar “One Health Unveiled: Bridging the Gaps for Global Well-being” and a Networking Reception in Brussels
31. jaanuar, 12:30 - 18:00
The Estonian University of Life Sciences and the Estonian Research Council cordially invite you to attend the upcoming seminar “One Health Unveiled: Bridging the Gaps for Global Well-being“, scheduled for Wednesday, January 31, from 12:30 to 18:00 at the Permanent Representation of Estonia to the EU located at Rue Guimard 11/13, 1040 Brussels.
In response to recent pandemics, the imperative role of the One Health approach in improving global health has become evident. Recognizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health is essential for addressing emerging global health challenges. The EU Global Health Strategy emphasizes digitalization, research, and skilled professionals as key enablers to improve healthcare worldwide. A crucial element of the strategy involves implementing the One Health approach, expanding international health partnerships, fostering shared responsibility, and leveraging the Team Europe approach.
The seminar aims to highlight the importance of and cover the following topics:
- exploring multiple research directions within One Health,
- supporting the effective exploitation of research results for commercial applications, as well as for wider societal benefits,
- the prospective Estonian Excellence Centre of One Health (EECOH) project aiming to advance the One Health research and its results,
- the collaborative and multidisciplinary efforts to address current and emerging global health challenges and bridge the gaps in this area.
The seminar seeks to inspire dialogue, knowledge exchange, and innovative solutions that support the One Health approach.
