This sub‑activity 4 finances the development of new modules within the Estonian Research Information System (ETIS), the enhancement of existing components, the creation of new interfaces and services, and activities aimed at strengthening cybersecurity and improving the system’s connectivity with other national information systems.

The objective of ETIS development is to ensure that the information system is fit for purpose and responds to the needs of the Estonian RDI ecosystem, enabling the use of high‑quality, data‑based information on research activities and supporting evidence‑informed policy design and implementation.
The expected outcome is a more capable ETIS that better supports the implementation of sectoral R&D measures, including the organisation of competitions and calls, the processing of applications and reporting, and the long‑term storage and accessibility of project and publication data.
